This is Jesse. (abstract impressionist painter)

This is Jesse Doyle. Just 29 years of age and loving life's journey. He has a beautiful, human kindness and spiritual energy about him that you can feel when he walks into the room.

Jesse had some creative ideas for his photoshoot. I'm always interested in visions that my clients have for their photos.

It wasn’t until after his five years of service in the Marines, (thank you, Jesse) that he discovered his true path: art. Oh, that’s not all. He’s a brand new dad of a little baby boy. And, man, you should see him smile when he talks about that little guy. I’m sure he’ll have him painting as soon as he gets beyond the “everything in your mouth” stage that babies go through. (Maybe some tiny footprints will show up on a canvas.)

His studio is in his hometown of Palmyra, NY where the cement floor is mostly colors of paint and his feet are usually bare. The lobby is filled with his paintings and more of his paintings. My sister lives near his studio and told me that once in a while he would have open studio nights and for a small fee, anyone could come into his studio to paint. He supplied the materials, instruction, and some inspiration. I think he loves inspiring people.

Behind Jesse is a 15'W x 5'H acryic on canvas entitled James.

The portraits I create tell a story of that person. Faces that say, “this is the real me.” Often I will use a gray backdrop and then I superimpose a background in. With Jesse, his paintings are so much a part of him that they needed to be a part of his portrait, too.

When I asked Jesse to define what success meant to him he replied, "success to me is enjoying your work and being consumed by it so fully that time and space dissolve. But to realize you’re work is your play and you better enjoy it!"

Jesse will soon be moving his family and studio to North Carolina. I’m so glad that I met him and I plan on staying in touch with him and watching his talents grow. Find Jesse on Instagram at JesseDoyle85 and see more of his beautiful work.
