I would like you all to meet the little pumpkin that makes my heart so happy these days. Her name is Gabriella and we call her Gabby. She may be the happiest baby I've ever met. But, I might be a little bias. She's always a great sport about letting Gammy (that's what I want her to call me) take her photo (unless, of course, she's hungry, tired, needs a changing, all that baby-life stuff).
Out we go, into the beautiful fall day. Found some big trees at a friends house which makes for a beautiful canopy so no crazy sun spots, just a nice even light on her face.
Be sure to get the family shot while we have the chance. Gabby looks less thrilled in this one but, what a face.
As a new Gammy, I have a bit of a problem with buying baby clothes. - I CAN"T STOP!!! There are so many cute, snuggley outfits out there for little ones. The only problem is, of course, they grow out of them way too fast. So whenever I get the chance (and she's in the mood) I dress her up and get some photos.
I found this outfit (below) at TJMaxx and thought it was so festive and original. I am the first to admit that babies is one of the most trying subjects there is to photograph. One trick I have found is to figure out their comfort position at the time. Making a baby happy is totally on their terms.
Oh, don't worry, i have more (many more) photos of my little Gabby. I'm saving them for the next blog. Meanwhile, a question for you. Do you have a special Dreamer in your life that you would love to have a beautiful portrait of. Or maybe take a portrait of them to give for a gift.
